CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2024 WINNERS

Each year, representatives from the Institution of Surveyors NSW and the Association of Consulting Surveyors NSW collaborate to orchestrate the prestigious NSW Excellence in Surveying and Spatial Information Awards. Now entering its 27th year, this esteemed awards ceremony serves as a platform to honour the outstanding accomplishments of organisations and individuals within the surveying and spatial information profession throughout the state.

“The 27th annual EISSI Awards, held on Saturday 21 September at the Hyatt Regency Sydney, has again showcased the exceptional talent, innovation, and dedication within the surveying and spatial professions. Our judging panel had an impressive calibre of entries across all categories, from infrastructure and cadastral surveying to student projects” said ISNSW CEO Rachel Greenwood.

Comedian Dave Hughes was the Master of Ceremony for this year’s event and we were pleased to have Surveyor-General Narelle Underwood in attendance.

We are particularly proud to recognise the finalists who have all demonstrated excellence in their fields. Special congratulations to Spiire Australia and Capital Plus 1, who received the prestigious Sir Thomas Mitchell Award for their exceptional work on the Woodbury Ridge Project which will provide new housing in a beautiful regional setting.

We also celebrate the creativity and forward-thinking approach of all finalists, particularly those who demonstrated leadership in areas such as innovation and sustainable practices.

This year’s awards reflect the continuous growth and advancement of the profession, and how critical these achievements are for the future of New South Wales. From cutting-edge technology applications to community-enhancing projects, the winners and nominees are setting the benchmark for the future of surveying.

“Industry recognition is a key part of business development and encourages ongoing excellence in our profession. The promotion of the next generation of students is more important than ever, highlighted by the future shortages which the industry anticipated over the short to medium term” said CEO of ACS NSW Michelle Blicavs.

On behalf of ISNSW and ACS NSW, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and finalists. Your contributions are vital to the profession, and we are proud to recognise your efforts. We would also like to thank the sponsors, judging panel and organisers who made this event possible, and we look forward to continuing the tradition of excellence in surveying.

Both entrants and category winners have benefited greatly from participating in the awards process, as it underlines to potential and current clients their leadership and excellence within the profession.
